Wilfrid Harding Prize

What is the prize for?

This prize, which is awarded biennially, was established by Dr and Mrs Wilfrid Harding for effort and achievement on behalf of the Faculty (for example, contributions to public health training, further education activities, health promotion, promotion of public health in regions/countries, representation of the Faculty on outside bodies or inquiries. This list is not meant to be exhaustive - rather to give some examples of areas of effort and achievement)

Who is eligible?

All members of the Faculty (Fellows and Honorary Fellows, Members and Honorary Members, Diplomate Members, Specialist Registrar Members and Specialist Trainee Members) are eligible for the prize but officers within two years of service are excluded.

Nominations

Nominations can be made by regional/country committees, Faculty standing committees and individual members of the Faculty. If more than one nomination is submitted these should be placed in priority order.

Citations should consist of a one page curriculum vitae and reasons for the proposal (about half a page of A4) and should be signed by 2 FPH members. Nominations should be addressed to the Registrar at the FPH office to reach him by the specified deadline each year.
