London FLAC Remit
- To improve communication between Faculty Officers and staff, and local Faculty members, as well as amongst local Faculty members themselves, by:
- Providing a conduit between Faculty Officers and staff, and local Faculty members
- Establishing local networks and organising meetings for local Faculty members
- Preparing an annual report for the Board
- Generating local contribution to the Faculty newsletter.
- To coordinate procedures for the commendation of local members for
- Fellowship and other Distinction grades of membership
- Clinical Excellence Awards
- UK National Honours.
To provide an advocacy role for local Faculty members by
- Representing the concerns of individual members to Faculty Officers
- Informing the Board of local public health priorities
- To organise local elections, as agreed with the Faculty Office – this will include liaising with the Faculty Office to ensure that membership lists are kept up to date.
- To ensure coordination with the London Deanery.
- Membership will include national Faculty Officers and others based in London.
- Meeting Schedule
- The FLAC Committee meetings will be held prior to the Faculty Board meetings, five times per year.
- The FLAC offices will meet with the London Public Health constituency at Open FLAC meetings held during the Public Health Network events.
- Administration
- The Chair will provide administration through their term of office.
- Relevant papers from the Faculty Board will be distributed to the FLAC Committee members within 1 month of the Faculty Board.
