About the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Health in All Policies

With a cross-party membership of MPs and Peers, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Health in All Policies’ mission, recognising that the determinants of health cannot be influenced by health policy on its own, is to explore consideration of and the effects of all national public policy on the health of the populations of the UK – particularly on health inequalities between different population groups.

Key activities undertaken by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Health in All Policies include regular cross-party meetings in parliament on health and public health issues with key parliamentarians and other stakeholders. The All-Party Parliamentary Group will produce regular briefing papers to support debate and make the latest reports on key topics available to members.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group is chaired by Debbie Abrahams MP, Member of Parliament for Oldham East and Saddleworth, who oversees group activities and materials. The group’s parliamentary liaison officer is Kari Mawhood.

The secretariat of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Health in All Policies is the UK Faculty of Public Health, a registered charity. The All-Party Parliamentary Group is in the Register of All-Party Groups.
