Appraisals
Annual appraisal has been a requirement for all consultants since 2002. The below is the Department of Health appraisal guidance for consultants, including directors of public health.
The introduction of revalidation may mean that your organisation requires different paperwork to be completed for annual professional appraisal, so please check with your human resources team that you are completing the appropriate paperwork to avoid duplication.
Please note that FPH does not offer appraisal services to members unless they have a ‘prescribed connection’ under the relevant regulations.
If you are revalidating through Public Health England the appraisal forms on this website are not applicable for that purpose. You should contact to source the relevant forms.
