Faculty of Public Health upcoming events 2018

Faculty of Public Health (FPH) members have expressed a desire for networking events. In response we are organising a series of smaller, member-focused events throughout the year. Please see below the current schedule for your diaries, together with a number of other national events where we are speaking and/or exhibiting. We hope that these will be of interest to you and we look forward to seeing you there.

31 May FPH regional meeting in the North East of England – hosted by Toks Sangowawa, FPH’s Local Board Member for the NE, this meeting will provide a valuable opportunity to meet and network with colleagues in the region and debate key issues of interest and/or concern to both FPH and the wider public health workforce. Sept/Oct Senior Fellows event: Networking event for FPH members who are considering retirement or have retired from active practice but would welcome an occasion to meet with colleagues and explore potential opportunities for continued engagement in the work of FPH Venue TBC

This year, we are combining our annual DARE lecture, AGM and Awards Ceremony into one day. FPH is also proud to be collaborating with City University on this event.

We are extremely fortunate to have Tim Lang, Professor of Food Policy at City University, as our guest speaker and an introduction from the Dean of the School of Health Sciences at City University, Debra Salmon.
