FPH strongly supports new checks for all public health specialists

The Faculty of Public Health strongly supports revalidation for doctors and welcomes today's announcement by the Secretary of State that it will begin in early December 2012.

Professor Lindsey Davies, President of the Faculty of Public Health, said: "We welcome this announcement, and look forward to playing our part in ensuring the revalidation of public health doctors. We would like to see revalidation extended to all public health specialists  - not just those who are doctors - as soon as possible."

We are referring all FPH members to the revalidation section of our website for further information about the process and to find out what they may need to do. Revalidation is a process that supports continuous quality improvement in standards and practice.
