Global Violence Prevention Special Interest Group

The Faculty of Public Health's Global Violence Prevention Special Interest Group (SIG) is a forum for public health professionals who are interested in considering violence and armed conflict in the context of the wider determinants of global health, and in taking a primary-prevention approach to tackling their root causes.

We are a growing network which encourages and facilitates our members to explore independent academic collaborations, awareness-raising and policy/advocacy activities in support of our strategic aims.

We can also take group action as a SIG (in collaboration with other organisations and the policy committee) to develop and support the FPH goal of helping people to live healthier lives, regardless of the places and circumstances into which they were born.

Co-Chairs: Daniel Flecknoe ( ) and Bayad Nozad ( )
