Public health specialty training national recruitment

The recruitment round for posts commencing in August 2016 begins in November 2015. The eligibility criteria, application process, assessment and selection will be similar to the 2015 round. You need to keep in touch with these pages so that you have the correct information because it may change slightly as further national all-specialty information is released up until the date of applications opening.

Please view the 'How to apply/further information' pages for all the detailed information regarding the process. Deadlines concerning the application window, assessment centres and selection centres will be posted on these pages in due course.

The recruitment timeline for 2016 is as follows:

  • Adverts: 5 November 2015
  • Applications open: 10am 11 November 2015
  • Applications close: 4pm 3 December 2015
  • Assessment centre: 13 January 2016
  • Selection centre: 22-24 February 2016
  • Initial offers by: 5pm 10 March 2016

Applicants for Academic Clinical fellowships through National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) should go to the NIHR website.

Selection into Public Health Specialty training in 2016 will be run by Health Education East Midlands for England, Scotland and Wales

Northern Ireland will be recruiting separately. Applications open on Wednesday 11 November 2015.
