Trainee Membership

Who is eligible?

Trainee membership is open to any specialist registrar (SpR), specialist trainee (SpT) or specialty registrar (StR) undertaking an approved course of training in public health.

Are there any specific benefits?

Trainees can pay Part A and Part B MFPH examination fees by interest-free instalments and can pay the fee for FPH’s annual conference by post-dated cheque.

New trainees can also apply for the four-year subscription package offering them the opportunity to spread the payment of examination and other training fees evenly over the first four years of their training.

Please note: the four-year package must be applied for at the time of the enrolment.

What is the application process?

All new trainees are required to enrol with FPH by completing the enrolment form and paying an enrolment fee. Once enrolled, trainees are then automatically put forward for election to Trainee membership.

Please note that FPH enrolment is not the same as Trainee Membership.

Trainee Membership, like all other FPH membership classes, requires an annual subscription fee to remain a current member of FPH.

Once elected by the FPH Board, the trainee will then receive an election pack.  The election pack must be completed for admission to Trainee Membership.

Trainees who have enrolled with FPH and have not received an election pack offering Trainee Membership should contact

What fees are involved?

Trainees who have paid their enrolment fee are automatically eligible for Trainee Membership and will be required to pay on admission an annual subscription fee.

Trainees who are on the four-year package do not pay any fees on admission but must complete a form of faith when applying for the four-year subscription package.
