Introduction to 'What you learn'

The competencies, or learning outcomes, that trainees in public health need to attain in order to complete their training are derived from a description of what a consultant in public health is able to do, in what setting and how they deliver their service.

These learning outcomes fall within nine broad key competency areas relate to the three domains of public health practice (health protection, health improvement and service quality).

These learning outcomes are outlined in the Learning Outcomes Framework.

The knowledge base which underpins them is based on the MFPH Part A syllabus.
