Since the Covid-19 pandemic, home and flexible working has flourished. Whilst this is a good initiative that can help promote a healthier work-life balance and may improve wellbeing, recent reports from registrar surveys have identified increasing feelings of isolation. This includes isolation from other Registrars in their training region, and with work colleagues on placement.
Knowing this, initiatives to improve registrar connectivity and improve team building have been implemented across the four nations independently, including in-person teaching days, wellbeing days, registrar social groups and registrar working hubs. Building connectivity is increasingly important as registrars work across organisations and regions. Strong professional networks support learning, wellbeing and future leadership development.
The purpose of this event, hosted by FPH President Tracy Daszkiewicz and the Specialty Registrar’s Committee (SRC), is to understand how to build connectivity in Public Health as colleagues and work to improve not only our own working lives, but the lives of our teams and the people we serve.
This event is open to Specialty Registrars by invitation only. Invitations were sent via email by the FPH Events team. If you believe you should have received an invitation but have not done so, please contact events@fph.org.uk.
