Heroes in Public Health

2017 marked the centenary of the Medical Women’s Federation and FPH celebrated this along with the Royal Colleges.

It was and is important to honour the achievements of the women who have made such a high level, and on-going contribution to health.

At the Faculty of Public Health we celebrated 22 women who have contributed to the agenda, many of these women continue to contribute today. As we go forward its important to recognise that the road wasn’t easy for our pioneers.

We urge you to read Dr Dame Rosemary Rue’s story to get a taste of the challenges. These challenges have mainly been over come in the western world but continue in developing countries.

Dr Grace Kodindo’s story helps us to understand that there is still a lot to do. We trust you enjoy and learn from our presentation.
