An Introduction to Arts and Public Health (CPD)

13th December 2022, 12:00am - 12:00am , Online event

About the course

The use of the arts to improve health and wellbeing has become increasingly mainstream in the UK, as the social prescribing offer, embedded into the NHS Long Term Plan, includes a variety of arts and creative opportunities for patients.

Using both theory and practical examples, the course will give participants an opportunity to explore a range of arts interventions and to examine their effectiveness with different populations and in different settings. It will be of relevance to people working in public health and primary care as well as in the voluntary sector.

In the session you will:

  • Examine the role of the arts in the public health setting
  • Analyse the impact of the arts on health and wellbeing
  • Explore practical arts and health methodologies

Date and time: Tuesday 13th December, 2-5pm

Cost: £50
