Climate and Health Advocacy webinar

20th July 2023, 1:00pm - 2:00pm , Online Event

The FPH Climate and Health Advocacy working group have organised a webinar for 20 July 2023, from 1pm to 2pm. The webinar will share the learning from scoping research undertaken by the advocacy working group in the SIG to inform future advocacy efforts by FPH on climate and health.

Background and purpose:

The Faculty’s Climate and Health Strategy includes advocacy as one of its key priorities. As part of the implementation of the strategy, a group of SIG members undertook some scoping work, learning from past experiences and research. At this webinar, we want to share what we’ve found so that colleagues can make use of the learning to inform future advocacy efforts.

Aims:

  • To share what we’ve found and done in the scoping group of the advocacy for climate and health workstream
  • To help people understand how to use the resources we’ve produced (a quick synthesis and reading list)
  • To give people a chance to have a go at putting some of the resources into practice (frameworks and tools for advocacy)
  • To inform work on proactive and reactive advocacy efforts
