Deprivation medicine and making change

8th May 2024, 12:30pm - 1:30pm , Online

The British Association for Child and Adolescent Public Health (BACAPH) is hosting a webinar with Dr Laura Neilson, who will be sharing her reflections on how we can create change in challenging environments.

Dr Neilson is an A&E doctor with a special interest in deprivation medicine. As a medical student, she established Hope Citadel health centre in Oldham, which she continues to head up (alongside her leadership roles at Shared Health Foundation and Focused Care). She will talk to us about her work addressing inequalities in health for children and families, including those in temporary accommodation.

BACAPH acts as the Special Interest Group for Children and Young People within the FPH and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).
