5th International Conference on Law Enforcement and Public Health

21st October 2019 at 12:00am to 23rd October 2019 at 12:00am , Edinburgh International conference centre

The 5th in the International Conference on Law Enforcement and Public Health series will be held in Edinburgh, 21-23 October 2019 (LEPH2019).

These international Conferences bring together police, prosecutors and other law enforcement personnel, public health researchers and practitioners working on the widest range of issues, and local government representatives; they marry the latest research with innovative and collaborative practice, at operational, managerial and policy levels.

The LEPH nexus covers a huge range of complex issues which require partnership and collaboration; in 2019 the conference will address the key issues facing police and public health in the UK at present. Major themes regularly addressed at the LEPH Conferences include mental health, violence (especially domestic and gender-based), police wellbeing, trauma-informed policing and ACEs, hate crime, emergency preparedness and response – but there are many more issues of importance. As well, the LEPH Conferences showcase innovative partnerships between police and health/welfare agencies, as practical examples with which delegates can interact, explore and network.
