Post-COP Mini series: Adaptation and the wider role of all Public Health sectors

This session continues the learning from COP to build interest and action in adaptation to reduce the health impacts of climate shocks and stressors, and related widening of health inequalities.

 Event objective:

  • To build capacity and understanding on the role of the public health workforce to support climate resilience for communities and health systems, including synergies with Net Zero and a ‘whole of society’ approach to resilience. 

In this session we will cover:

  • What happened in COP relating to Adaptation
  • What does a climate resilient health system look like?
  • What synergies are there between Climate Adaptation and Net Zero?
  • What does the adaptation challenge mean for public health and our professional practice?

The session will conclude with a Q&A.
