Poverty is a fundamental and persistent driver of health inequalities in the UK. People living in poverty are more likely to experience long-term conditions, face early multi-morbidity and live shorter lives. Primary care sits at the frontline of this, both in witnessing and responding to its daily impacts on patients and communities.
This joint webinar, hosted by the Faculty of Public Health’s Poverty and Primary Care Special Interest Groups, will explore how primary care can respond to poverty and its effects on health in the UK. The session will bring together leading voices to discuss structural drivers, practical interventions and the future policy outlook within primary care.
