Joint statement on the conflict in Ukraine

We, European organizations of public health residents, stand for the health of people everywhere in the world.

The “Faculty of Public Health statement on the conflict in Ukraine” was published on 01 March 2022.

Since then, the Faculty of Public Health’s Board of Trustees, in collaboration with the FPH Ethics Committee, has developed new Faculty policy to govern whether, and how, the Faculty should respond to international humanitarian emergencies, conflicts, and requests for public statements.

The FPH Policy on Responding to International Humanitarian Emergencies and Conflicts was approved on 06 October 2025. In accordance with this policy, the Board of Trustees has agreed to withdraw any previous statements that may contravene this new policy.

As a result, the “Faculty of Public Health statement on the conflict in Ukraine” has been withdrawn.
