We, European organizations of public health residents, stand for the health of people everywhere in the world.
We deeply condemn the current events happening in Ukraine. This conflict implies a violation of human and health rights. As public health professionals, it is our duty to stand up against war and the atrocious effects it has on people's health.
We call on the European Union and European Member States to:

Provide safe routes for Ukrainian refugees

Safeguard health care, including specialized mental health care, for all asylum seekers requiring it by mobilizing human and material resources

Work together with humanitarian organizations in providing medical aid

Abide to basic human rights and the International Humanitarian Law, enacting mechanisms to bring an end to the conflict

Develop projects aiming at integration of refugees and intercultural understanding with NGO and civil society coordination
We stand with the Ukrainian people and democracy. Solidarity and cooperation must prevail in these terrible times.
