The Gulf SIG was established in 2025 to promote collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation among public health professionals in the Gulf region. The SIG aims to create a proactive community focused on addressing chronic diseases and climate change, as well as advancing research and best practices for population health for the Gulf area.
Core activities will include:
- Organisation of regular webinars, workshops, and presentations featuring public health experts, researchers, and leaders on topics related to chronic diseases, climate change, and other public health concerns.
- Fostering a collaborative environment that supports ongoing knowledge exchange, innovation, and community-building amongst SIG members.
- Facilitation and coordination of joint research projects, focusing on regional issues like chronic diseases and the impact of climate change on health, bringing together FPH members from across the Gulf and contributing to the body of public health knowledge in the region.
