Migration and Public Health SIG
The Migration and Public Health Special Interest Group (SIG) was established to bring together public health professionals who are engaged in, or committed to, improving the health and wellbeing of migrant populations. The SIG provides a collaborative space for members to share best practice, strengthen public health advocacy, and address the complex and often overlooked health, social and structural inequalities experienced by people seeking asylum, refugees and undocumented migrants, shaped by global conflict, climate change and political narratives.
The SIG also acts as a focal point for partnership working, policy influence, research and innovation, and for developing training and education to build knowledge and expertise across the public health workforce on issues relating to migration and health.
The Migration and Public Health SIG reports to the Faculty's Global Health Committee
