International Public Health Film Competition

In 2024, the UK FPH Public Health Film SIG is working with the Public Health Film Society on the Public Health Film Festival (PHFF) and International Public Health Film Competition (IPHFC). These events will focus on new public health challenges in the post-pandemic world, especially the growing influence of AI (Artificial Intelligence) on Public Health.

SIG members will be involved in helping to screen film submissions, supporting the judging committee to select the award winners and supporting the PHFS to run the PHFF. Please contact us if you would like to be involved.

Film submissions to the IPHFC are free and open to all through FilmFreeway. The deadline for entries is 1st September 2024.

Entries will be judged by a panel of public health and film experts as well as co-opted judges with expertise in AI, with winners of the ‘Best Overall Film’ and ‘Best film related to AI and Public Health’ announced on 1st November. Winning films will be screened as part of the Public Health Film Festival in December 2024.
