Irish MFPHMI Part I Examination
Candidates who have passed Part I of the Examination for Membership of the Faculty of Public Health Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians Ireland, may claim exemption from DFPH of the MFPH examination for the purposes of either:
- gaining membership of FPH by sitting the MFPH exam
or
- using the Irish MFPHMI Part I as evidence towards a portfolio application.
Please note that it is not possible to use the MFPHMI Part I to progress with UK speciality training. The GMC published a paper in May 2015 that has recently been updated which outlines its position on approved curricula and the role of UK and overseas exams. |
This exemption is not automatic, but must be applied for using the application for exemption from the Diplomate Examination (DFPH) form and enclosing documentary evidence and the current fee. A copy of the original letter of notification from the Irish Faculty will be acceptable evidence.
