Building the Capacity of National Public Health Systems in Delivering the Essential Functions

30th April 2026, 9:30am - 11:00am, Online

The event aims to clarify for FPH members our formal collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO) to build the capacity of national public health systems in delivering the essential functions of public health globally.

Key speakers from across the UK, WHO and international partners will highlight the Faculty’s commitment to international partnership and our continued focus on strengthening education, training, and system capability to meet contemporary and emerging public health challenges at a global scale.

This session provides an opportunity to clarify how FPH members could build on their existing links to work with WHO as Temporary Advisers in specific countries to assist its effort to strengthen the workforce for implementing the Essential Public Health Functions.
