Experiences of undertaking advocacy as president of the Faculty of Public Health

20th March 2023, 12:00am - 12:00am , Online event

Time:

16:30-18:00 GMT

Description:

The Faculty’s Climate & Health Strategy includes advocacy as one of its key priorities. As part of the implementation of the strategy, we are establishing a programme of peer learning seminars with the aim of learning from the experiences of public health professionals advocating within the climate and health space.

In this session, we will be learning from the experiences of Presidents of the Faculty past and present.

We are looking forward to hearing from our current president, Professor Kevin Fenton, as well as recent presidents, Professors Maggie Rae and John Middleton.

There will be an opportunity to hear reflections from speakers about their experiences as well as time in small groups for reflective peer learning.

We will be analysing recurring themes from the peer learning seminars to inform potential future advocacy skills programmes. By taking part you are therefore also consenting to being a part of this informal evaluation.

This event is open to FPH Members only.
