Speaker Dr Austin O'Carroll is a GP in inner city Dublin with a deep interest in health inequalities. He founded SafetyNet Ireland and GP Care for all. Austin is also the founder of the North Dublin City GP Training Programme, the first GP training programme which specifically trains GPs to work in areas of deprivation and with marginalised groups. Austin is a member of the Irish Paralympic Sailing Team.

During this one-hour webinar organised by the Faculty of Public Health's Primary Care and Public Health SIG, hear from Austin about training GPs with a focus on health equality, deprivation and marginalised groups. The training programme has multiple innovative elements, and the webinar offers important learning for those from primary care and public health backgrounds.
