FPH Registrar Conference 2023: conference resources
On 21 September 2023, the Faculty held our Specialty Registrar’s Conference, bringing together the next generation of public health leaders both online and in-person at the King’s Fund in London.
The hybrid event, themed “Back to the Future”, was packed with insightful presentations and debates on topics including tackling racism, the use of health data, genomics, artificial intelligence, and the use digital technology in the health sector.

Kazim Beebeejaun and Fatai Ogunlayi host a live episode of the ‘Training in Public Health’ podcast featuring a panel of consultants from across the public health system including career and leadership coach, Dr Amina Aitsi-Selmi, Consultant in Global Health, Dr Ahmed Razavi, and Health Protection Consultant, Dr Naveed Syed. They discuss how to navigate public health career pathways and gain leadership skills in training.
Dr Niamh Thompson, Policy Advisor at The Behavioural Insights Team explores how behavioural insights can be used to help people make healthier choices.

Registrars Dr Sam Tweed, SRC Vice-Chair and Dr Ugonna Nwankpa, SRC Euronet lead, share ways in which Registrars can gain global health experience through training placements and project opportunities. They will discuss Euronet membership and global networks including ASPHER, EUPHA, and WFPHA.
